Just stumbled on one of your videos while vegging on the lounge. I have a 1953 80", which I got registered in 2023 and regularly do camping trips. Been as far north as Taroom, south to Gundagai and west to Surat. I have never seen any other series Land Rovers on the road (except for the event in Gundagai). I have done about 11K miles in Galahad so far, and he attracts a fair bit of attention.
You look to have done a great job despite your early breakdowns.
Cheers John

Hi John, and thanks for your message. What a great name for your Landy—I like Galahad, very fitting for an old vehicle!

Yes, there aren't many old Land Rovers on the roads now. I see a couple of Series 3s, but never really anything before then. It is lovely getting the smiles and the waves from people when you are out in one of these wonderful vehicles.

My teething issues seem to be settling down now, apart from I now have a broken Britpart shock absorber that is less than 3,000km old and decided to empty its entire contents out of the bottom of it. Easy fix though!

Hope to see you and Galahad on the road one day!
