Fitting Out the Landy Rover - Getting her back on the road!

Restoration is nearing the end and we have started building the front of the car, so we can get it road worthy.

Dashboard Design

The dashboard is installed and all wired up, with aviation style switches. This is what we created.
Seats and Seat Belts Installation

The old seats would have been very uncomfortable, so we purchased new seats and also installed seat belts. This is how we did it.
Electrical System

The big bundle or 60 year old wiring was removed and new cables installed. Here are the details of what we did.
Glass Install

Safety glass was purchased for the windscreen and back door. All other glass restored and this is how we did it.
Steering Wheel Restoration

The steering wheel had some serious history and needed to be kept and restored. This is what we did.

Obviously lots to be done before we can start fitting out the Landy and turning her into a camper, but we are getting close!

Insulation

Hot days and cold nights need to be planned for and we need to insulate the aluminium side and roof somehow..
Waterproofing

If we are installing fabrics and possibly wood, we need the LandyRiver to be waterproof. Still planning.
Seating and Entertainment

Somewhere to sit an relax in the back will be needed and I am thinking of a bench seat along one of the sides and some multimedia. Still planning though.
Kitchen

We will need water, power and cupboards, plus something to cook a bacon sandwich on. Still very early days and planning this though
The Roof

I think I will plan for a roof top tent and solar, but that may change after investigating how much weight the roof can hold.
